Volunteers needed for the NCMD

PLEASE NOTE: These vacancies are on a voluntary basis only.

TRUSTEE:

Unfortunately, one of our trustee’s, Adrian Tyrrell, is stepping down from his role due to pressure of work from his day job. As one of the original members of our Board of Trustees, Adrian has helped to re-shape and strengthen the NCMD and we are extremely grateful for the significant contribution that Adrian has made, both to the NCMD and to the hobby as a whole.

We therefore need to recruit a new trustee from our membership, so if this is something you might be interested in, please read through both the role & responsibilities and the criteria documents before sending in your application:

Trustee Role & Responsibilities.
Role Criteria

If you would like to be considered for this position, please create a brief CV that is relevant to the hobby and the role, mentioning anything that you feel might benefit the organisation and our members.

All applications should be sent via email to Alan Tamblyn – NCMD General Secretary:
generalsecretary@ncmd.co.uk

The closing date for Trustee applications is: Midnight on Friday 14th August 2026

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER:

Our financial structure is multi-layered to ensure the complete transparency of our finances and security of our funds. The day-to-day management is overseen by our Treasurer, supported by a financial sub-committee comprising of our Treasurer and members of the committee.

The accounts are then scrutinised each month by the full Policy Committee and then independently by our Board of Trustees. Our Accountants provide day-to-day financial advice and audit our accounts on an annual basis.

As we move to become a charitable organisation, we would welcome the support of a member with experience of working as a financial controller in a charitable organisation or similar, to join our sub-committee.

If you are interested, please email: generalsecretary@ncmd.co.uk

SOLICITOR:

Our position has changed in many areas, partly as we move to charitable status, partly as we move to stand up for the rights of our members, through legal means if necessary. If we have a member who is a solicitor with experience of civil law or experience of working within a charitable organisation, we would like to hear from you. If you are interested, please email: generalsecretary@ncmd.co.uk
