A rare copper alloy farthing of Oliver Cromwell dating to 1657-1658. Obverse: laureate bust of Oliver Cromwell, Left, OLIVAR•PRO•ENG•SC•IRL. Reverse: Crowned Shield, CHARITIE•AND•CHANGE. As north 2750 A machine struck coin from dies of Thomas Simon in the press of Pierre Blondeau. “This is the only example recorded on the PAS database” and is a find of note and designated Reginal Importance.
