I found this coin on ploughed rolled farmland, about 3 inches deep with XP Deus 2. I have been advsed by Martin Allen in Cambridge that it its a William 1 type 3 by the Wilton moneyer Safare reading SAEVARA ON PILTV on the reverse. He advised it is the first single fine recorded in EMC since it started in 1990. I believe the date is 1070-72 and it appears to be a very rare coin. Needless to say I am delighted with the find and I have emailed my FLO with the details.
