First 2 are actual cleaned up find 4rd that shows detail is enhanced just to hopefully show what it was like. Specifically, this is an Anglesey (Parys Mining Company) 18th-century commercial copper token (often referred to as a Conder token). ​Reverse (First Image): Features the 1788 date clearly visible at the top, along with the elaborate script monogram/cypher PMCo (Parys Mining Company) in the center. Around the perimeter, the partial legend reads: "WE PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER ONE PENNY". ​Obverse (Second Image): Shows the heavily weathered profile bust of a hooded, bearded Druid facing left, encircled by an oak wreath with acorns. ​Historical Context Due to a severe shortage of official small-change coinage in late 18th-century Britain, Thomas Williams (the "Copper King") issued these high-purity copper tokens from the Parys Mountain copper mines in Anglesey, Wales, to pay his workers. They became widely accepted payment across Britain and kicked off the late-18th-century trade token era.
