George I gold guinea coin swivel fob/seal locket and an engraved bloodstone intaglio

PAS Submission Form No.: N5620 (submitted via a Finds Evening on 20/07/2026, so not yet on the database). Description: A complete gold swivel fob seal or locket pendant. The object is circular, measures 24.4mm in diameter and 6.5mm in width, and weighs approximately 14.25g. It features a decorative suspension loop/hinge assembly at the top. Obverse: Set with a flat, circular bloodstone (heliotrope) gemstone showing a dark green/black base matrix with prominent red jasper/iron oxide flecks. The stone is deeply hand-engraved with an intaglio script monogram that appears to read the stylised initials "GBS". The stone is secured within a gold bezel frame showing minor soil adherence and superficial scratching around the perimeter. Reverse: Incorporates the obverse side of a genuine gold Guinea coin of King George I (reigned 1714–1727). The laureate, right-facing bust of the King is clearly visible, though worn. Research leads me to believe it is the Fourth Bust. The gold exhibits a rich yellow patina with localised ground scuffs and micro-scratches consistent with a field find, but remains completely untarnished.
