Ewer/Lavos dog head spout (c. 15th century)

I was keen to go out detecting as soon as possible after harvest, and so ventured onto a very dry barley stubble field, it was very very hot, but I'm glad I did. This zoomorphic spout was find was only a few inches down, intact, and, if the pictures do it justice, has a really lovely patina. I believe the were attached to ewers or Lavos vessels to pour water for hand washing. Produced in Belgium and the Netherlands. I will be submitting it for PAS recording very soon.
