A silver roman coin of Valens, much rarer than a Siliqua and not seen very often (Attached pic of size difference to a Siliqua) They were frequently used as ceremonial donatives, military pay, or large official payments rather than everyday pocket change. *This coin is part of a hoard of Silver Roman Coins reported to Somerset FLO Laura Beckwith*
