After clean up & reverse wax stamp Chess Piece medieval bronze seal matrix likely dating from the 14th or 15th century.It features a zoomorphic design, potentially a creature like a "Pelican in Piety," which was a common religious symbol during that period.These tools were used to stamp wax seals on documents for personal identification or authentication.Similar bronze matrix often depict religious themes, mythical beasts, or family Hawk with prey.
